Senior Specialist R&D CHQ

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and test machine‑learning models with a focus on manufacturing use cases such as advanced process control or predictive maintenance 
• Identify and select suitable datasets from equipment, metrology systems and other sources to ensure by collaborating with engineering teams and reviewing available data
• Prepare, clean, and preprocess data (filtering, feature extraction, labeling) to enable reliable modelling and analysis through structured data‑processing workflows and quality checks
• Gather technical background information from subject‑matter experts (mechanical, electrical, testing) to correctly interpret datasets and define relevant model inputs
• Analyze data to derive technical insights and support problem‑solving by applying statistical analysis, signal processing, and exploratory data techniques 
• Implement prototypes, dashboards and small proof‑of‑concepts to evaluate technical feasibility
• Maintain python code and machine learning pipelines on the internal platform
• Evaluate emerging technologies (ML frameworks, sensor systems, data‑processing methods) and assess their potential for industrial application
• Spread awareness about best practices in machine learning, data analysis, and scientific programming 
• Contribute to patent ideas, research publications, or technical presentations

Your Profile: 

• Graduate Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Technical Physics or similar technical education or equivalent professional career (e.g. in the area of industrial data science)
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin
• Strong programming skills in Python or other scientific programming environments
• Experience in industrial machine learning, scientific computing and/or data analysis in engineering context
• Familiarity with PCB and/or substrate manufacturing processes
• Project management know how
• Excellent organisation- and communication skills 
• "Open minded", communicative and "out-of-the-box thinker"
