Assembly Engineer (OSAT)

Your Responsibilities

• Establish substrate related Assembly/OSAT FA & Reliability knowhow in AT&S
• Support failure analysis activity for OSAT returns
• Support product risk assessment buy off before shipping to OSAT 
• Drive test capability improvement for FA and Reliability based on Assembly/OSAT potential failure risks
• Provide and update relevant quality documentation (Test instruction…)
• Partnership with OSAT in driving continuous quality improvement through rejection validation, product health monitoring, root cause finding and issue resolution
• Channel the findings to product owners to drive continuous quality improvement
• Work closely with OSAT on post-shipment product quality assessment and continuous improvement
• Keep communication with external sorting houses; monitor their performance, analyse findings for continuous quality improvement 
• Report to its direct superior on the performance at OSAT’s and needs for improvement
• Implementation of OSAT Requirements into the Standard Lab Scope 
• Communication channel with all BU Local Laboratories on Assembly/OSAT topics

Your Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in similar position, preferably in Semiconductors: Backend/Packaging, Failure Analysis 
• Technical background or Bachelor degree (Engineering or Equivalent) 
• Works independently, fast learner, multi-tasking, detail-oriented 
• Systematic with good problem solving skills, strong analytical skills and project management skills 
• Liable for 8D Report preparation for Corrective and preventive actions 
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals 
• Integrated and interdisciplinary thinking and acting 
• Self-motivating ability to foster a cooperative work environment Document routed backward
