To enhance our successful Logistics Team in AT&S Malaysia in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, we are looking for a passionate

 

SENIOR LOGISTICS ADVISOR

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the inbound logistics operations, including supplier coordination, transportation and inventory management. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely supplier communication and delivery scheduling. 

  • Develop and implement effective inbound logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs and improve on time delivery performance. 

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements related to inbound logistics, customs and trade compliance. The document including but not limited to License/Certificate/Permission acquisition for customs declaration. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely and accurate communication regarding order status and delivery schedules. 

  • Supervise the team for selection of inbound logistics service providers, negotiate the best delivery timing and manage relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation. 

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including movers, to ensure smooth coordination and timely placing the inbound goods to it temporary or final locations. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including pre-alert the upcoming shipment, machines or equipment move in schedule to internal stakeholders including mover’s arrangement. 

  • Resolve or escalate any issues or disruptions in the inbound logistics process and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensuring that the company complies with all customs laws, regulations and trade policies, both domestically and globally.

  • Managing the preparation and submission of customs documentation, including import and export permits, licenses and declarations.

  • Determining the correct classification of goods for customs purposes, which affects duties and taxes.

  • Identifying and mitigating customs compliance risks, such as potential audits or penalties.

  • Educating employees on customs and trade regulations to maintain compliance throughout the organization.

  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in customs laws and regulations that may affect the business.

  • Generating reports on customs compliance, duty payments and related metrics for management.

  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance, inbound logistics efficiency and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Motivated to continue learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are a plus. 

  • At least 5-10 years of working experience in Logistics or supply chain management 

  • Strong knowledge of inbound logistics operations, transportation modes, customs regulations and trade compliance. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. 

  • Proficient in using logistics software and warehouse management systems including Microsoft Office, SAP (WM/MM Module). 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and vendors. 

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimum guidance. 

  • Proven work experience in inbound logistics, supply chain management or a related role. Able to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. 

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
