Simulation Engineer
Summary of Position
- You will serve as a specialist in finite element simulation at AT&S.
- You will be responsible for executing thermo-mechanical simulations related to warpage, reliability, failure analysis, and thermal management.
- You will continuously improve simulation processes, validate results, and act as a key interface with production and the material testing team to achieve set targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute assigned simulation tasks based on established AT&S methodologies in mechanical, thermal, and thermo-mechanical finite element simulations.
- Develop and maintain simulation models following standardized simulation and modelling procedures.
- Update relevant documentation in line with AT&S quality standards and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and development topics.
- Collaborate within cross-functional and international teams, providing support and promoting best practices.
- Operate multi-physics simulation software, high-tech equipment, and apply material modelling expertise. Understand the impact of material models, design, and processes on simulation results.
- Present simulation results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support strategic and customer-related projects, including definition, documentation, and general project management.
Education and Experience Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Skills and Competencies
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finite element simulation.
- Strong knowledge of ABAQUS/CAE.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Cross-functional team player with good collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent MS Office and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in printed circuit boards, IC substrates, or the semiconductor industry is an advantage.
