Supplier Quality Engineer/ Specialist

Your Responsibilities

• Work with Purchasing/GPO team for supplier sourcing, selection, rating, supply chain risk assessment
• Leading function of supplier audit, qualification and performance monitoring, periodic reporting related status (SAP, Lotus Notes database, QIS…)
• Be as communication channel or contact window between the suppliers and the relevant internal and external customers towards the resolution of any reported queries, issues and concerns 
• Manage all the quality issues associated with the suppliers that are under his/her charges and carry out periodic reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager
• Initiate appropriate continual improvement programs with the selected suppliers for the purpose of improving the quality level, reducing the cost and developing the supplier to a desired standard
• Execute relevant qualification programs that are in alignment to the organization’s chartered business plans and technological roadmap. Update the Qualification Status in System and update project matrix in the common server
• Be a Subject Matter Expert in the Process and drive the internal team for the issue related to process and raw material
• Maintain the Supplier 8D in SAP system and Supplier Audit Reports in the System
• Monitor the supplier quality performance indicators
• Maintain all relevant documents and records from the suppliers
• Handle off-spec request from suppliers
• Handle claim compensation in accordance to the reported quality concerns
• Carry out defined supplier development programs and report its progress and status to the Supplier Quality Manager on a periodic basis
• Conduct periodic supplier rating based on the given format and standard
• Set priority and assure execution of commitments
• Manage the suppliers and align them to the organization’s set objectives and targets
• Provide training of people and suppliers

Your Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science or applicable technical field from recognized institution or any equivalent field
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in similar position, preferably in PCBA manufacturing/Semiconductor/ EMS Industry
• Have broad experiences in various quality standards and other international management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO/TS16949
• Strong working knowledge of Quality Management System and audits
• Deep understanding and hands on experience of factory manufacturing process control and quality systems
• Factory auditing experience is beneficial for the position
• Have exposure in various automotive core tools such as APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, SPC,8D and Problem Solving
• Have strong analytical and social skills
• Fluent communication and articulation skills in business level English, strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate and interact with internally and supplier's management highly required
• Good knowledge in statistical and quality tools
• Able to work under pressure
• Strong applications in computer software such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
