To enhance our successful Purchasing Team at the Headquarters in Leoben, Austria, we are looking for a passionate

Buyer / Purchaser (f/m/d)

As a Buyer / Purchaser, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient supply chain setup, including the implementation of best practices for demand-to-buy processes, efficient purchase order management, and mitigating delivery risks.

Your Responsibilities

• Establishing a safe, flexible, and compliant supply chain setup
• Ensuring the consistent implementation of best practices for demand-to-buy processes
• Efficient management of purchase orders (processing, confirmation, delivery and tracking)
• Initiating urgent response protocols and tracking progress during material shortages
• Adjusting material safety stock and shipping frequency in response to actual situations
• Defining and regularly updating a list of high-risk materials
• Proposing multiple resource and business contingency plans for optimized supply chain management
• Collaborating with designated stakeholders to conduct compliance transaction studies
• Facilitating cross-functional communication for supply chain decision-making
• Ensuring transparency in global procurement and plant purchasing
• Generating weekly/monthly reports and ensuring proper planning

Your Profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the field of supply chain, such as purchasing/SCM/project management, etc.
• Strong team player with an open mind, fast learner and excellent communication skills
• Proficient in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and experienced in using SAP and Ariba
• IT affinity
• Proficient in English and German languages
• Experience in new plant setup projects preferred
