Commodity Manager (f/m/d) Indirect Purchasing

Construction, Infrastructure Management & Facilities

 

As Commodity Manager within the Indirect Purchasing, you are responsible for the procurement of Indirect Goods and Services for the areas Construction, Infrastructure Management and Facilities. Your main objective is to leverage spend across the business, create and execute strategic cost savings projects, and drive out cost within the dedicated commodity. Furthermore, you are responsible for maintaining and managing AT&S’ indirect buying process; ensuring associates are complying with the preferred Suppliers, while also leading the end-to-end contract management process and supporting aggressive working capital goals.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure a competitive advantage of AT&S and its affiliated companies through its Suppliers, their quality, technology and cost structure for assigned portfolio of suppliers within the Indirect Commodity (Construction, Infrastructure Management & Facilities)
  • Contribute to the Indirect Commodity Purchasing strategy starting from strategy development over to strategy implementation and execution 
  • Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all processes related to the purchasing activities by applying best in class processes 
  • Ensure that purchasing objectives and achievements are transparent by providing accurate pricing forecasts, monthly purchasing reports and quarterly forecasts within the assigned commodity 
  • Promotion of supplier competition in terms of technology, supply chain excellence, total costs, environment and ethical compliance to ensure that AT&S’ suppliers meet the Best of Benchmarks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms and conditions of contracts
  • Create, manage, measure, and improve appropriate reporting metrics and data analysis for the dedicated commodity

 

Your Profile

  • Recognized Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Procurement or Supply Chain with a strong technical background in Industrial Environment
  • Minimum of 5+ work experience in Indirect Purchasing and Purchasing Processes (Construction, Facilities and infrastructure Management) in a high volume production environment
  • Skilled in contract and price negotiation, project management, strategic planning and execution 
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost estimating, as well as fiscal management principles & procedures 
  • Knowledge in SCM processes and proven experience with RFQ processes, data analysis, supplier evaluation and commodity management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English paired with international/intercultural professional experience 
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, SharePoint, etc.) 
  • Self- driven and decisive personality with integrity and accountability
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking paired with an organized and precise workstyle

Our salary packages are competitive and take individual qualifications and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labour agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 56.000,- Euro.
