NPI Engineer (m/f/d) 

As NPI Engineer you will be contributing in all technical ramp related projects in the organization from NPI till High Volume Manufacturing stage. In this role, you will support AT&S as a reliable interface to leading customers, key suppliers and important internal stakeholders. Early involvement in new technology needs from customers and initiation of activities into the Engineering organization is the other key activity of this position.

Your responsibilities

• Phase-in and ownership of the new products from the initial feasibility check to high volume manufacturing

• Customer orientation with continuous internal and external regular status updates following AT&S reporting standards

• Definition of new products specifications and continuous evaluation and improvement of the products quality and process flow efficiency 

• Strong focus on utilizing statistical tools and lean production tools in standardizing and controlling process, improving yield and optimizing throughput

• Insurance of smooth and reliable hand-over protocol to the responsible manufacturing departments

• Protection of Intellectual Property (IP) and assurance of the company and key customer interests in a highly competitive industry

• Follow department KPIs, process cost reduction, efficiency improvement and support Yield Roadmaps and plant targets

Your Profile

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in the field of Applied Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Embedded Systems 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fields of IC-Substrate, Semiconductor or IC-Packaging or Assembly

• Knowledge of project management, data evaluation, design of experiments and customer orientatio

• Basic knowledge in practicing Six_Sigma or other statistical and quality tools in process engineering and control such as SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA,CP

• Computer knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel), JMP and Minitab 

• Good analytical skills with attention to details, “out of the Box” thinking and good stress management

• Willingness to travel and stay abroad for working in an enriching intercultural environmen

• Willingness of working in cleanroom environment and over time

• Excellent fluent and written English skills

Our salary packages are competitive, take individual qualifications, and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labor agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 50.000,- Euro.
