Engineer IT Operations Applications, Database Services (f/m/d)


The Engineer Operations Infrastructure Applications, Database Services is responsible for monitoring and controlling all IT Applications Database Services on a global scale. Together with your IT Operations Supervisor and team members, you will esnure consistent and optimal performance of Databases as per the agreed SLAs thus ensuring the performance of the applications dependant of these databases. Also, you will analyse and solve incidents and problems and implemente changes, patches, upgrades and expansions.


Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure monitoring and controlling all IT Infrastructure Application Database Services, identifying issues (incidents and problems) and assessing their impact and implement possible solutions
  • Ensure the consistent execution of operational procedures and thus the smooth running of IT Applications Database services mentioned above as laid out in the respective service level agreement
  • Monitoring the database service performance and fine tune if necessary and implement improvement action plans with the concurrence of the Supervisor/HoD 
  • Ensure integration of new solutions provided by IT Software Engineering and changes requested by business to fulfil new business requirements while maintaining operational stability


Your Profile

  • Experience with database modeling tools 
  • 3-5 years of experience in/as DB Admin
  • Extensive experience optimizing and debugging functions, views, indexes, triggers, etc. 
  • Experience working in a 24/7 enterprise environment
  • Experience with clustered database systems
  • Good written and verbal English and communication skills

Our salary packages are competitive and take individual qualifications and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labour agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 50.000,- EUR.
