Engineer R&D Prototyping 

In your role, you will lead process development activities at R&D level, focusing on advanced manufacturing technologies for substrate and packaging applications. You will drive innovation from early concept through qualification, working with cutting‑edge processes and collaborating closely with global R&D teams, production sites, and strategic partners to enable next‑generation technologies.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead R&D process development across technologies such as plating, lithography, laser drilling, assembly, plasma etching, planarization, and sputtering
• Screen, specify, install, and qualify new equipment and process technologies
• Set up, optimize, and qualify processes including DOE execution and parameter definition
• Develop new manufacturing concepts in alignment with global R&D teams, plants, and partners
• Evaluate and develop new and existing suppliers and equipment manufacturers
• Drive process control, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build advanced substrate and IC packaging manufacturing know‑how
• Provide technical solutions to ensure structured and efficient project execution

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• Proven experience in R&D, process engineering, IC substrate, assembly, or packaging industries
• Strong knowledge of DOE, data analysis, and quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, CP)
• Hands-on experience working with complex manufacturing processes and equipment
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and quality
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is an advantage
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and intercultural experience
• Willingness to work in cleanroom environments, manage high workloads, and travel internationally
