Engineer R&D
As an Engineer R&D, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing new products and technologies. You will independently execute R&D tasks, contribute technical insights, and support innovation within the Corporate R&D department. A major focus of this role is establishing the Surface Acoustic Microscope (SAM) as a new analytical tool by defining its technical limits, integrating it into development workflows, and generating high‑quality data to support material and failure analysis.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently execute experiments, analyze results, and recommend improvements to support product development.
- Design and develop new technologies that meet defined technical and performance requirements.
- Characterize, validate, and define the technical capabilities and application limits of the SAM system through structured experiments.
- Use SAM to identify defects in prototype and R&D samples, correlate findings with other characterization results, and support next research steps.
- Collaborate with R&D and cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies into production and assess technical risks.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends relevant to AT&S’s long‑term development strategy.
- Prepare clear technical reports and documentation to ensure transparent workflows and communicate findings to senior management.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in R&D or a related technical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in data interpretation and technical reporting.
- Proficiency in PCB design, semiconductor technologies, or similar technical fields.
- Experience with advanced analytical or characterization methods and the ability to interpret diverse datasets.
- Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross‑functional teamwork.
