Engineer R&D

 

In your role as R&D Engineer, you will develop and apply advanced methodologies to analyze, model, and predict the electrical performance of PCB and substrate technologies. You will translate design, material, and manufacturing parameters into reliable electrical behavior and support the development of next-generation interconnect solutions. By combining simulation, modeling, and validation approaches, you will contribute to innovation in high-speed and high-frequency applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. Your work will strengthen data-driven decision-making and ensure alignment between design, manufacturing, and system requirements.

 

 

 

Your Responsibilities

 

 

  • Perform advanced electrical simulations and analyses to evaluate signal and power integrity and predict system performance
  • Analyze the impact of materials, processes, and design parameters on high-frequency electrical behavior
  • Support R&D projects by defining simulation strategies, identifying risks, and enabling robust technology development
  • Develop and continuously enhance predictive models and methodologies for interconnect solutions
  • Collaborate with universities, research institutes, and industry partners to drive innovation and integrate new knowledge
  • Design and support electrical test structures and RF-relevant layouts for validation and demonstrators
  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams and customers, clearly communicating complex topics
  • Support production and quality teams in analyzing deviations and defining corrective actions for electrical performance

 

 

 Your Profile

 

 

  • Ongoing or finished PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Telecommunications, or a related field with focus on high-frequency or electromagnetic topics
  • Experience in RF engineering, signal integrity, power integrity, or electromagnetic modeling (industry experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of transmission line theory, S-parameters, and high-frequency effects
  • Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS or similar)
  • Solid programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for modeling and data analysis
  • Experience with statistical methods, Monte Carlo simulation, or Design of Experiments (DoE)
  • Structured and analytical working style with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional and international environments
