IT Technical Consultant  - Application System Administrator (f/m/d)


As an Application System Administrator you protect our critical system and information within the MES landscape, standardize the MES implementation and operation, prepare documentation and internal trainings to stabilize this standard on a global approach. You are working in a global team and together with the global teams IT Manufacturing Service and IT Infrastructure Service implement new, update existing and keep running current system instances


Your Responsibilities

  • Perform OS administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, print services, research event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly

  • Monitor application systems health using pre-existing management tools and respond to issues as they arise  

  • Test and maintain new application systems as needed

  • Install and maintain application system and requirements including, MES/AES , OPC servers, Integration systems, OS firewalls, security updates or upgrades

  • Interact with the IT Infrastructure Service and the IT Manufacturing Services team to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed

  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including backup validation and disaster recovery tests

  • Test to ensure compliance


Your Profile

  • Degree in Information Technology (HTL or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in/as similar position
  • Expert understanding and knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools and LAN/WAN
  • Good knowledge of application implementation testing, standardisation and documentation
  • Expertise in system monitoring, permission administration and cross application communication including databases
  • Experience in support implementation and testing live of patches, updates and hotfixes to existing Operation and Application systems within the MES landscape 
  • Main focus with Operation system and Application system scope
  • Experience of working in team-orientated international environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as intercultural and social competence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German, English

Our salary packages are competitive, take individual qualifications, and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labor agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 50.000,- Euro.
