Junior Engineer R&D - Prototyping Operations

In your role, you will support R&D projects by contributing to the development, testing, and optimization of new products and technologies. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced R&D processes, high‑tech equipment, and international project teams, actively supporting AT&S’s innovation and quality objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• Handle advanced R&D equipment for IC Substrate manufacturing like for wet/chemical processing (e.g. for Adhesion Promotion, Dry Film Stripping) or machines in the Lithography area (e.g. Exposer) 
• Execute tasks within technical requirements, equipments and projects according to AT&S rules and regulations of AT&S Innovation Process
• Work in cross-functional and international teams and actively promote best practice
• Scout, screen and monitor new equipment, and provide know-how to colleagues
• Handle high-tech equipment and electronic materials, in line with all relevant safety aspects and safety requirements
• Perform calibration, analysis and cleaning work according to plans
• Support the execution of trials and DOEs, manufacturing of sample batches and prototypes, perform measurement and inspection tasks
• Protect IP of activities related to AT&S

Your Profile

• Technical school, technical college, or university degree (or equivalent professional background)
• Experience in a relevant field is an advantage
• Skills in MS Office, Lotus Notes, SAP
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Open minded, communicative and out-of-the-box thinker
• Willingness and ability to cooperate and constantly learn
• Willingness of working in cleanroom environment
• Willingness to travel and stay abroad for a certain time in one of our locations
