Junior Simulation Engineer

 

 

 

In this role, you will conduct thermo‑mechanical analyses such as warpage, reliability, failure analysis, and thermal management. Simulation plays a key role at AT&S in ensuring high product quality and fast development cycles. You will act as an interface to senior simulation engineers, internal teams, and customers, working with international and cross‑functional experts from production and material testing to deliver reliable simulation results, interpret experimental data, and continuously improve simulation methods and processes.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Execute and support mechanical, thermal, and thermo mechanical finite element simulations based on established AT&S methods
  • Build, update, and maintain simulation models according to internal guidelines, standards, and procedures
  • Perform pre‑processing and post‑processing in multi‑physics simulation software
  • Contribute to validation, quality‑oriented documentation, and continuous improvement of simulation methods and processes
  • Identify improvement potential in simulation workflows, procedures, and development topics
  • Collaborate in cross functional and international teams and promote best practices
  • Develop understanding of material modeling, design, and process impacts on simulation results
  • Support strategic and customer‑related projects in task definition, documentation, and coordination

 

Your Profile

 

  • Minimum HTL or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Basic knowledge of structural mechanics and finite element methods
  • Initial experience with finite element simulation and software tools such as ABAQUS; MATLAB is a plus
  • Fundamental programming skills or strong motivation to develop them further
  • Basic know-how of PCB, package buildup materials, or semiconductor technologies is an advantage
  • Structured, analytical working style with good data analysis and documentation skills
  • Open‑minded, communicative team player with cross‑functional and international mindset
  • Fluent in English with solid MS Office and presentation skills
