Lab Engineer for Failure Analysis Laboratory (m/f/d)

 

As Lab Engineer for Failure Analysis you will plan and arrange failure analysis tests based on priority in time and efficiently utilize lab capacity. You will manage and control the daily consumption materials and spare parts such as stock and life time. You are responsible for optimizing and improving failure analysis test methods to provide higher quality, efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, you are involved in P&R laboratory project management. 

 

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct failure root cause investigations, related data analysis and reporting
  • Maintain high level of safety (EHS) and 5S in all responsible laboratory areas
  • Set up, review and update all documents to ensure all of them are efficient and keep the harmonization with actual operation
  • Communication and cooperation within lab, AT&S internal departments (production, quality, engineering, maintenance, IT, facility, etc.) and suppliers
  • Arrange the daily work and test priority to ensure test output and quality
  • Maintain and improve laboratory systems with related data management
  • Train, qualify and support technicians 
  • Define and process tool qualifications according schedule
  • Evaluation, installation and qualification of new equipment

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Physics, Electronics, Material science or similar areas
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in Laboratory work or similar areas 
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. CAQ, SharePoint, Minitab, JMP, Minitab) and knowledge in MS Office 
  • Basic knowledge in physics, statistic and quality standards (5S, MSA, FMEA, etc.)
  • Hands- on experience with FIB, SEM, EDX, FTIR, 3D Microscope, Hot Spot Detection, etc. is an advantage
  • Willingness of working in cleanroom environment and over time
  • Experience in working with intercultural teams and open-minded approach
  • Multi-tasking comfortable, detail-orientated, structured and independent working style with good time and stress management
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Fluent written and oral English and German skills

Our salary packages are competitive, take individual qualifications, and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labor agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is ‬43.434,30,- Euro.
