Lab Specialist for Physical and Chemical Laboratory (m/f/d) 


As Lab Specialist you will monitor and manage lab resources in responsible area such as materials, spare parts or manpower. You will be responsible for training, qualifying and supporting engineers. Your additional key focus will be to maintain a high level of safety (EHS) and 5S in all responsible laboratory areas and manage complex chemical laboratory projects.


Your responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve laboratory systems with related data management
  • Develop, optimize and improve test methods to provide higher quality, efficiency and/or reduce cost
  • Conduct failure root cause investigations, related data analysis and reports
  • Set up, review and update all documents, ensure all of them are efficient and keep the harmonization with actual operation
  • Strong cooperation between global labs, internal departments (production, quality, engineering, maintenance, IT, facility, R&D, etc) and suppliers
  • Evaluation, integration and qualification of new equipment and procedures
  • Detail resources management as materials, spare parts, tool availability and manpower


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry and extensive knowledge in Chemistry
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of work experience in Laboratory work or similar areas 
  • Excellent Project management skills
  • Basic IT and analytical skills preferred (e.g. CAQ, SharePoint, JMP, MS Office)
  • Knowledge of quality standards (5S, MSA, FMEA, etc) and advanced statistic know-how
  • Willingness of working in cleanroom environment and over time
  • Experience in working with intercultural teams preferred
  • High level of stress and time management, structured and detail-orientated working style
  • German and English skills are required

Our salary packages are competitive, take individual qualifications, and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labor agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 49.952,7‬0‬, - Euro.
