IT Network Architect (f/m/d)

The IT Architect oversees the global solutions and plans the architectural landscape and roadmap according to the IT strategy. Their main role is to design and align IT systems with the business's strategic goals. You are responsible for having a state-of-the-art knowledge concerning his/her area as well as for identifying risks as critical interface management or due to technologies at the end-of-life cycle.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan how to adopt the landscape with new building blocks, define transition paths and develop target architectures mapped with strategic objectives

  • Design high-level architecture solutions within the domain. Define, manage and communicate architectural artefacts including diagrams, documentation, guidelines and principles for building, integrating and maintaining solutions

  • Implement risk management through the management of critical interfaces and end-of-life technologies

  • Define landscape inventory, central managed architecture and technical guidelines and decision log. Create landscape reports on demand

  • Validate and approve architectural concepts from projects, buy-in solutions, as well as new development or infrastructure technology regarding its fit to the overall architectural landscape

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, projects teams and other Architects

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information systems, Engineering, or comparable field or equivalent at least 5 years professional domain experience as an IT Network Architect
  • Relevant certificates (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, …) are beneficial
  • Good knowledge in networking, cloud computing, databases, operating systems, and software development. Furthermore, expert knowledge in Network Architecture
  • Proficiency in system development life cycle methodologies
  • Experience in Project Management 
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills including analysing complex problems, identifying patterns, and proposing effective solutions
  • High communication (including clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders) and interpersonal skills
  • Professional English skills to ensure effective communication
