Project Manager R&D
In this role, you will drive the successful execution of technical work packages that enable AT&S to expand its technological leadership. Through structured planning, coordination, and implementation, you help the company generate new knowledge and accelerate next‑generation product development. Your work strengthens AT&S’s capability to industrialize innovative technologies and broaden the plant’s service portfolio. By ensuring efficient project delivery, you directly support the company’s innovation strategy and long‑term competitiveness.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage budgeting, technical planning, and the execution of defined work packages to ensure timely and high‑quality project results that contribute to technology advancement.
- Report progress, prioritize tasks, and adjust plans as needed to secure transparency and effective decision‑making.
- Work in cross‑functional and international teams to align expertise, share knowledge, and achieve project goals collaboratively.
- Represent your technical field toward internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external project partners to ensure clarity, alignment, and professional communication.
- Operate high‑tech equipment and handle advanced electronic materials to support reliable development processes.
- Safeguard intellectual property by applying proper documentation, confidentiality, and compliance practices throughout all project activities.
- Contribute to system-level understanding by applying your technical experience.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal processes, workflows, and methods.
Your Profile
- Completed education in physics, chemistry, mechatronics, electronics, telecommunication engineering, medical engineering, or a comparable technical field - or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven industry experience as a technical project manager, ideally in high‑tech or manufacturing environments.
- Advanced project management skills with a structured and results‑oriented working style.
- Proactive, pragmatic problem‑solving approach combined with curiosity for new technologies.
- Fluent English skills (spoken and written); German is an advantage.
- Open‑minded communicator with strong cross‑functional collaboration abilities and a “cross‑border thinker” mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Lotus Notes.
- Strong willingness take responsibility, and lead within project contexts.
- Openness to international travel and continuous personal development.
- Knowledge in high‑frequency applications and/or optical systems is a plus.
- Experience working in semiconductor or related manufacturing environments is beneficial.
